Coaching

Why our Coaching Services?

If you are the owner of a small or growing business, our public relations Coaching Program may be just the thing for you. It effectively banishes the need for an outside public relations agency by bringing you up to speed on everything you need to know about public relations—and supports and motivates you or your team as you carry it out.

There’s no minimum or maximum monthly limit on our coaching. Some clients only need a few months to be up and away—other clients we’ve had for many years and they now look upon us as a vital part of their PR activity in their own small and growing businesses.

Taking the form of monthly public relations strategy sessions (which can take place via Zoom or phone), plus unlimited e-mail support in between, our small business public relations coaching means that without ever leaving your own office or home, you will learn how to plan and carry out your own public relations and marketing campaigns. You will have an experienced expert public relations coach who can brainstorm ideas with you, suggest angles that you might never have come up with, and keep you informed of any media opportunities that will get your business fantastic media coverage. Contact us for more information on our Public Relations Coaching Program.

Our Approach to Coaching

We provide media coaching in half-day and full-day formats that are informative, interactive, and entertaining.  Experienced coaches are on hand to guide executives and staff on how to engage the media and provide a detailed analysis of how to improve interview techniques, including:

Message Development

We work with our clients to identify the key messages that should be communicated through the media and examine how these can be made interesting to journalists.

Media Handling Techniques

We provide useful principles and techniques for dealing with the media including information on the role and perspective of the journalist.

Role Playing Exercises

We develop media interview topics and scenarios customized to the client’s industry or profession, conduct mock interviews with the participants, and provide feedback on the interviews during the session.

Handling Tough Questions

We include a discussion and practice of methods for keeping a focus on the key messages while answering difficult or hostile questions.
